VICTORIA K.
Bio: Victoria is a professional actress and singer based in New York City. She has a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Brigham Young University. During her undergraduate degree, she studied with Darrell Babidge, who is the current chair of the voice faculty at The Juilliard School. She sang with the world renowned choral group, BYU Singers.
Victoria has performed numerous musical theatre and opera roles in the U.S. and in Europe, to critical claim. In 2018, Victoria performed in the regional debut of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder at the Hale Center Theatre in Salt Lake City, UT. She sang the role of Bastienne in Bastienne und Bastien in Salzburg, Austria in 2019. Victoria originated the role of Trish in a new musical, Submarine Races, at the Covey Center for the Arts in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2020.
She has received numerous awards, including several award nominations from the Seattle 5th Avenue Theatre. She has sung in several professional choirs in NYC, including the Marble Collegiate Choir and Cantantes in Cordibus, in which she was the soprano section leader. She performs in cabarets and concerts throughout NYC.
Victoria has been teaching private voice lessons for 4 years. Her students range in age from 6 years old to mid 50s. She teaches both in person and online. She teaches all levels and all styles, including classical, musical theatre legit/mix/belt, pop, and jazz. She coaches her students on musical skills and acting. She also has experience teaching group theater classes. Victoria teaches her students according to their interests, needs, and goals. Her goal with each student is to help them reach their full potential technically and artistically and to build their confidence in their own abilities.
