In-Home Lessons
We understand the importance of convenience and comfort in the learning process. That’s why we offer weekly in-home lessons, allowing students to learn and practice in a familiar and comfortable environment.
Group Lessons
In addition to in-home lessons, our Suzuki program also includes monthly group lessons, providing students with the opportunity to engage with their peers and further enhance their musical skills in a collaborative and supportive setting.

I am Kenji Haba, the Suzuki Guitar Program Director at Willan Academy, and I express my gratitude for considering our renowned Suzuki guitar program for your child. The Suzuki Parent
The Suzuki Parent at Willan Academy of Music is responsible for attending 4 parent classes, observing the child’s lessons, communicating with the teacher, and working with the child at home.
Expectations of the Suzuki Parent:
• The Suzuki Parent (the one who attended the Parents’ Class) must attend all classes and take notes.
• Ensure that the student listens to the CD every day at home.
• Practice every day at home with the child, using positive language strategies learned in Parents’ Class.
• Obtain required materials.
• Maintain an open dialogue with the teacher in order to problem solve together.
About the Suzuki Guitar Classes
Our Suzuki Guitar classes are designed for children, following the Suzuki method and conducted in a one-on-one setting at the student’s home to ensure personalized attention and targeted instruction.
Students will also participate in a monthly group class on Saturday mornings, which offers the opportunity for young children to review what they have learned and engage in musical games together.
Tuition
The tuition includes weekly private lessons, a monthly group instrumental class, and one recital. Prices for the 2024 Fall semester, for 15 weeks:
30-minute lesson package: $1,485.00
45-minute lesson package: $1,781.73
60-minute lesson package: $1,936.81
(Tuition will be prorated if you enroll during the semester.)
Private lessons are held at student’s apartment. Group lessons are held at 520 8th Avenue, New York, NY 10018 on Saturdays.
