Anne B,

Anne Blake holds a Master’s degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. During her time at the conservatory, she was an integral part of the orchestra and also participated in the chamber music program, collaborating with fellow musicians to deliver captivating performances. Under the tutelage of Jennifer Culp, Anne honed her skills and developed a profound understanding of her instrument. Her experiences at the conservatory have shaped her into a versatile and accomplished cellist. Throughout her career, Anne has contributed her unique sound to numerous recordings, spanning classical, contemporary, jazz, and pop music.

While attending school, Anne founded a cello program at the Myriad School of Music in the Bay Area. She successfully brought in students and created a comprehensive cello curriculum for the school. Her dedication to music education and passion for the cello has made a significant impact on the musical community in the Bay Area. During her undergraduate years she managed a thriving cello studio of various ages and skill levels. Under her patient and insightful instruction, each student made significant progress, developing both their technical abilities and their love for the instrument. Anne’s commitment to teaching and her personalized approach have left a lasting impact on her students, fostering a lifelong appreciation for music.

Anne attended Brigham Young University where she received a Bachelors of Music with an emphasis in cello performance. During her undergrad, Anne was the principal cellist of the BYU Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestras and had the opportunity to travel across Europe performing with the orchestra in various venues in Austria, Italy and the Czech Republic. Her studies also took her abroad for a semester in Italy, where she performed and studied with the Milan Conservatory orchestra and studied under multiple conservatory teachers across Italy. Anne was the cellist of the BYU Honors Quartet, where she was responsible for putting on concerts for the community and representing the BYU School of Music. During her undergraduate years, Anne not only honed her skills in academic settings but also actively performed at weddings and other special events. These experiences allowed her to connect with diverse audiences and refine her ability to evoke deep emotions through her music.

Anne teaches private music voice lessons as well as early child music classes.
