COMPLETE THE 4 COURSES TO MASTER THE BASICS OF THE VIOLIN
Step 1: INTRO TO VIOLIN (4-week course)
Intro to Violin is a 4-week instrumental instructions for young beginners. Through games and activities, students will learn the basics of playing the violin such as how to hold their instruments, how to play with the bow and etc. This is the first part of a four-course series.
Step 2: BEGINNER 1
This is the second part of a four-course series. In this session, students will learn more notes on violin and start playing simple melodies. Students also brush up previously acquired techniques. Students also will build a foundation for understanding music concepts, such as dynamics, rhythm, and melody.
Step 3: BEGINNER 2
This is the third part of a four-course series. In addition to brush up the basics of how to play the violin and the foundation for understanding music concepts learned in introduction and beginner 1, students will learn how to play a song and get ready for a group performance.
Step 4: BEGINNER 3
This is the last part of a four-course series. Students will learn D-major scale and several pieces of music in the key of D major. In addition, students polish techniques that they previously learned.
Any young violin players who has an experience are welcome to join at anytime (Subject to availability). Private violin lessons are also available.

Students are required to bring their own instrument
Instrument rental is available for $30 for introduction class, $35 for beginner 1 & 2 and $100 for beginner 3.
Pick up is available at the first session. Must return at the last session.

INSTRUCTOR
Eunbi
Eunbi Kim is originally from South Korea. She earned her doctoral degree in cello performance major and music theory minor with Professor Dennis Parker at Louisiana State University, where she held a teaching assistantship and Oral Mery Yong Scholarship in 3 years.
She is a strong chamber and orchestra music lover. Her passion of chamber music and orchestra playing are still on going to learn many repertoires at everywhere and with others. She currently debuted at Carnegie Hall (2019) as a solo cellist and chamber music player. She is currently a Teaching Artist at Harmony Program which partnership with CUNY. She still has been trained as the Teaching Artist and She is an enthusiastic cellist and educator in New York City, New Jersey area and the world.
