Music & Crafts
Building Musical Foundations Through Creative Play
Our Music & Crafts class is designed for 4-5 year olds, blending introductory music concepts with hands-on craft activities to spark a love for music while sharpening fine motor skills. This engaging program lays the groundwork for kids to transition confidently into instrumental classes the following year. Here’s what your school and students can expect:
Core Activities:
Music Basics Made Fun: Children explore simple rhythms, musical patterns, and basic notation through interactive songs, games, and movement, building a solid foundation for future music learning.
Crafting for Skill & Sound: Kids create their own rhythm shakers by filling paper cups with beans, sealing them, and decorating with musical symbols like notes and clefs. They’ll also craft mini cardboard guitars or violins, learning instrument parts (head, neck, body) while practicing precision and coordination. Origami musical notes add a playful twist to their creations.
Singing & Rhythm in Motion: Lively activities like dancing to beats or singing with hand gestures reinforce musical ideas and keep young learners energized.
Materials Provided:
We supply everything needed—paper cups, beans, glue, tape, markers, cardboard, and musical stencils—for a hassle-free, creative experience. Schools only need to provide a classroom with tables.

Our Edge
We make practice irresistible. With a curriculum that transforms repetition into fun, each class unlocks a student’s potential, one note at a time—setting them on the path to musical greatness.
Social Skills
If children play in a group, they have to learn to work together to achieve a common goal, exercising tolerance, patience, and encouragement towards their peers.
Build Language Skills
As they learn their instrument, children become accustomed to different sounds that they would not have recognized before. This practice trains their ears for the nuances and subtle sounds of language.
Understand Culture
By learning music from various parts of the globe, students come to understand these cultures, whether it’s African drumming or Argentine tango music
Feel Good About Themselves
There’s nothing quite like the sense of pride that comes from working on building a new skill for an extended period of time…especially when the result is beautiful music.
Bring Joy
When children can play music, it makes them happy…and everyone else too.
Increase Their IQ
Numerous studies (including this one in 2004 by E. Glenn Schellenberg) have proven that children’s IQs increase because of even a few weeks of music lessons. Brain scan technology reveals that brain activity increases following musical training, and some parts of the brain even grow larger!
