Philippe C.,

 

Philippe Clement, guitarist, composer, teacher and performer was raised in Miami, Florida and moved to New York City in 2018 to study jazz guitar on a full ride scholarship to Manhattan School of Music. This is where he studied with top performers and worked with mentor/Educator Chris Rosenberg privately on the guitar.

Previously to Manhattan, he was self taught and regularly attended workshops awarded to him like the Brubeck Institute (2016) , Skidmore Jazz Program (2017) , Summer Jazz Academy (2017) and Young Arts Jazz (2018). Throughout his pursuit for music, Philippe has been featured in Downbeat Magazine while attending Manhattan school of music for recognition for his composition Matters & performance for it in a jazz combo group.

Philippe is well versed in many styles ranging from Pop, Rock, Funk & jazz. He teaches all ages from beginners to advanced levels.
Philippe received his Bachelors of Music in Guitar Performance from Manhattan School of Music in 2022. He currently performs around New York City and regularly performs at Minton’s Playhouse, The Django and has recorded at The Jazz Gallery.
