Mia N. H.,

Mia, a New York City-based violinist, is celebrated for her versatility and dynamic performances. She has graced stages across North America and Europe, including prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall, The Orpheum Theater, and SFJAZZ. Raised in New England, Mia honed her skills in New York City at Mannes Pre-College under the guidance of eminent violin teacher Shirley Givens. During her time at SFCM, Mia served as concertmaster of the Conservatory Orchestra and received the Sergei Barsukov Scholarship for Violin.

Mia wears multiple musical hats: she is the first violinist and founder of the string quartet ASTRAEUS, a touring member of the Emo Orchestra, and a violinist for the heavy rock band Spirit Mother. Additionally, she collaborates with the Brooklyn Chamber Players and the String Orchestra of Brooklyn. While in California, Mia contributed as a substitute violinist for Opera San Jose and was part of new music ensembles like Ninth Planet and Ensemble for These Times.
