Melody’s journey in music began when she was just a child, with an unmistakable drive to become a singer. Her early years were filled with auditions for school plays, and she immersed herself in after-school programs that enhanced her skills in singing, acting, and dance. This passion led her to Queensborough Community College, where she studied voice, music theory, sight and ear training, and began her journey with piano and vocal performance.

Her educational path took her to prestigious places like Lincoln Center for a summer focused on voice, and then to the Kaufman Music School, where she spent two years deepening her knowledge of piano and voice. At the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, Melody sang in both classical and operatic choruses and played in the Latin Jazz Ensemble, experiences that enriched her understanding of her Hispanic cultural music, which she now shares with her students.

Melody has graced stages at Luses Moses School, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall, showcasing a versatile range of genres from musical theater to soul and R&B. Her teaching career was shaped significantly during her two years at Barbizon, where she taught a variety of arts, refining her methods for students ranging from young children to adults.

Beyond teaching, Melody is a model, actor, and singer, bringing a holistic view of the arts industry into her teaching. Now, with three and a half years of teaching under her belt, she revels in every moment of guiding her students through their musical journeys. Melody teaches voice from beginner to expert levels and piano, always ready to embark on this musical path with anyone interested in learning.
