Hello! I’m Hilarie and I am thrilled to join Willan Academy as your violin teacher. To tell you a little bit about myself, I’m from Hong Kong, and I recently graduated from Berklee College of Music. I am classically trained and I started playing the violin at the age of 5. I believe that learning music should be fun and exciting and making mistakes is also part of the fun. I look forward to meeting you and I am very excited to be a part of your musical journey!

Hilarie C.,

Hilarie is a professional violinist, and music educator from Hong Kong. She graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2026 and holds a Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) diploma. In her musical career, she developed extensive live, orchestral, and contemporary performance experience, whilst teaching young students. Brought up as a classical musician, Hilarie developed strong foundations on technique, musicality and discipline from an early age. She believes that these core fundamentals can be taught in an engaging way and thrives to make sure that lessons are kept fun and inspiring whilst tailored to each student’s needs and goals.
