Brenon is an engaging and skilled educator, specializing in teaching both saxophone and piano. With a Master of Music in Jazz Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied under jazz icons like Buster Williams and Jaleel Shaw, Brenon brings a wealth of knowledge and inspiration to his lessons. His educational journey also includes a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and a performance program at Berklee College of Music, where his talent was recognized through selection into the Jazz All-Star ensemble.
Brenon has been shaping young musicians for years, starting from his high school days teaching at local camps and schools. He now leads Willan’s piano group classes at a private school in NYC, making each lesson an exciting exploration of music. Whether teaching the saxophone or piano, Brenon’s approach combines deep theoretical understanding with practical, fun-filled learning experiences. His mastery in jazz improvisation and theory enables students to not only play music but to feel and understand it deeply. Under his guidance, students are nurtured into both skilled performers and passionate music lovers.
