Andie M.,

Andie's goal is to spark a creative curiosity within her students that extends well beyond their time in lessons. She focuses on the foundations of music through exploration and play while building technique and skill so students have the confidence to enjoy performing their favorite pieces and creating their own.

She graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Songwriting and a proficiency in Voice, and went on to write songs professionally in Los Angeles. As a child, she performed as a singer on Broadway, in national tours, film and television, and has been taking voice lessons herself since she was 8 years old. That lifelong relationship with learning is something she carries into every lesson she teaches.

Andie's musical foundation runs deeper than voice alone. She took formal piano lessons from age 8 to 14, and at Berklee she studied general music theory, ear training, and harmony alongside her vocal training. She went on to play keys professionally in various bands while living in Los Angeles, giving her a working musician's fluency at the keyboard that she brings directly into her piano lessons.

In Los Angeles, she also taught group music classes for children and their parents at What A Babe!, where she led classes focused on foundational skills like rhythm and clapping, group singing, and percussive instruments, nurturing a love of music from the very earliest age. She is also an active performer and singer songwriter in New York City, bringing a real, working musician's perspective into her classes.

She teaches all ages and levels across pop, musical theatre, and singer songwriter styles, meeting each student exactly where they are and helping them grow into the musician they want to be.
