What to expect at your first singing lesson

Many people have been dreaming of becoming a successful singer. There can be tons of reasons behind this. It could be because they wish to join the church choir or maybe because they want to be the lead role in a school play or maybe it is because they would like to have a recording contract. And with this dream spurs tons of people going to the internet to find private singing lessons.

Willan Academy of Music specializes in providing private singing lessons at home. The singing lessons are private one-on-one coaching, which is tailored according to each student and run for half an hour or more. These lessons can be conducted at home. If needed, you can request a one-hour class. In your first lesson, your singing teacher will find out a little more about yourself. For example: Your teacher will ask what you wish to do with your voice, your musical influences and aspirations; directions and goals, your experience as a singer and performer. Most importantly, the main points you teacher ask is what you want out of your singing lessons to improve on your voice, musical performance and singing career. Your singing teacher will also ask you to perform a song of your choice. This is so he/she can work a regime and lesson plan for your future classes.

Your singing lessons will consist of working through and breaking down songs of choice. Your singing teacher will directly apply the techniques you are learning in your scales directly into your songs. It’s the same as a developing or professional football player who would directly apply the skills he is learning during training and also into the game on match day! Our Singing Academy provides you with notes so you can practice at home. Scales are purely and simply training drills for voice training, strengthening new vocal skills, technique vocal development, strengthening vocal breathing control and ear training development
