Hirona is a Soprano/Violinist based in New York. As a soprano, she embraces a wide range of repertoire from baroque music to contemporary music. Recent performances include Delilah (Samson), Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), and Doe (Beloved Prey). Hirona has performed solo recitals, chamber music concerts, and opera performances in numerous countries including Japan, Korea, Germany, Austria, Italy, Israel, and the US. Her extensive appearances in New York including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, DiMenna Center, Symphony Space, and St. Peter’s Church.
Hirona was born in Tokyo, into a musical family. She began playing the piano under her mother’s tutorage when she was three. She began playing the Violin when she was five. Ms. Amamiya has received musical training at Toho Gakuen School of Music Pre-collage, as well as Music High School. She holds Bachelor’s degree in Violin, and Master’s and Professional Studies degree in Voice from Manhattan School of Music.
Hirona has experience teaching piano, violin, and voice to all levels and ages for many years. She also teaches at the Sonder School of Music and the Westerhoff School of Music.
Hirona teaches Singing Lessons, Violin Lessons and Piano Lessons.
