COMPLETE THE 4 COURSES TO MASTER THE BASICS OF THE GUITAR
Step 1: INTRO TO GUITAR
Intro to Guitar is a 4-week course that designed for young beginners (age 5-7). In this session, students will learn basics of playing the guitar such as how to hold their instruments, how to pluck a single string with a pick, how to use left hand and more. By the end of this course, students will acquire the ability to play 1-3 strings individually without looking. In addition, students will learn where the note C, and D notes on the B-string and will be ready for playing simple melodies. This is the first part of a four-course series.
Step 2: BEGINNER 1
This is the second part of a four-course series. In this class, This class introduce the basics of strumming and simple chords. Students will have many opportunities to polish skills that they have acquired in the previous course.
Step 3: BEGINNER 2
This is the third part of a four-course series. Students will learn a song and prepare for a group performance. This class also helps them to brush up skills that they acquired in previous courses.
Step 4: BEGINNER 3
This is the last part of a four-course series and will be offered in Spring 2020 semester. This class is designed for students to deepen their study of guitar. They will learn to play scales and folk, pop, and classical music in the key of G-major. This class also introduce new chords and sing.
Any young guitar players who has an experience are welcome to join at anytime (Subject to availability). Private guitar lessons are also available.

Students are required to bring their own instrument
Instrument rental is available for $30 for introduction class, $35 for beginner 1 & 2 and $100 for beginner 3.
Pick up is available at the first session. Must return at the last session.

No refunds will be issued after the first class.
All refunds are subject to a $25 administration fee.

INSTRUCTOR
Kenji Haba
Kenji is a founder of Willan Academy of Music in 2015. The eastern and western cultural experiences influenced him to be a unique and creative teacher. Kenji was raised in Japan, and came to US in 2001. Kenji believes that the learning of music is not simply to develop musical and technical skill, but to help develop students’ character through the study of music.
He is an active performer of contemporary music, with over 20 pieces of music written for and premiered by him, including works featured in classical guitar magazines in Japan as well as the US. He found an award-winning guitar-cello ensemble, Duo Anova, Duo Anova made its debut at prestigious Carnegie Hall presented by Composer’s Voice.
