TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I want students to WANT to practice, to have as much excitement for making music as they do listening to it. The most effective way to make progress in music is with consistent practice habits and that can only take place outside of lessons. Their weekly lesson, then, should be challenging AND fun; students should walk away excited to level up their skills. This means something different to each student and their teacher’s approach should reflect that. Alongside traditional method books, I use improvisation, composition, drum tracks, games, and whatever I can to help students achieve their musical potential.
Bill teaches private piano lessons.
