Alexandra was always very musically involved. Starting at age six she was in a choir and took private voice and dance lessons. She began studying violin at age 9. She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where she studied in the preparatory program at Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) with Cleveland Orchestra Violinist Vladimir Deninzon. She also studied with Dr. Cyrus Beroukhim, the principal violist of the New York City Ballet and Concertmaster of the American Symphony Orchestra and was coached by the accredited violinist, Giora Schmidt.
Alexandra believes that every child is different and it’s important that each child receives a music education designed for them, specific to their wants and needs. In addition, she aims to inspire and to help students establish a good foundation of musicality, technique, and patience. She has watched her students have a continued interest and passion for learning their instrument and her goal is to nurture that and help it grow.
In addition to teaching at the Willan Academy, she teaches violin and piano lessons at The Montclair Music Studio in New Jersey to children and adults.
